AstroSutra uses Swiss Ephemeris to calculate planetary positions and Lahiri ayanamsa to place them in a sidereal chart. Deterministic code then applies Vedic methods such as Dashas, Shadbala, and divisional charts where the birth details allow them. AI receives computed chart context for interpretation; it does not perform the astronomy. A reliable input and calculation pipeline is the foundation of a reading, while interpretation remains subject to uncertainty.
